At the start of a potentially turbulent election season in Europe, economic data keep coming in strong, both in the core and the peripheral countries. So maybe all is not as bad as the populist politicians want us to believe. Should the populists stay out of power in Europe, diminishing political risks may unleash a lot of market enthusiasm and give European markets a strong boost.
